Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at home on your computer, using a web connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the greatest combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the draw button. A hand of five cards will be "given out" on the screen.

The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning bettors are able to choose the most profitable machine every instance.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the enthusiast a chance to increase their winnings, in which case a further hand is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
